Yogurt Bomb

I started the day thinking I was going to write about changing diapers.  As you can imagine with three in diapers it seems endless sometimes.  I lost count at ten around noon. I'll get back to that later, because what became more important to me was that I share with you a public service announcement straight from my house to yours.

If you have a toddler, don't give him a yogurt tube and then leave the room to bathe his sibling.

I almost wish I had been able to see what the F he did in there while I was gone.  It must have been pretty interesting.

Hand Towel

I thought it might be fun to share the fact that, somehow, despite doing what feels like 72,324 loads of laundry per week, I had the displeasure of drying myself off post shower today with a hand towel.  Now, I'm not talking about a small bath towel.  I'm talking a legit towel that is too small to dry off my babies with.  It was probably the first time in months that I didn't set my towel out for myself before getting into the shower, and I paid for it dearly.  When I opened up the linen closet, there it was, and empty shelf where the larger towels should be.

Most of the time, it's a real luxury to have a relaxing shower these days.  Kids will do that to you.  The shower in itself wasn't too bad, however, I should also note that it was 5:30 in the morning.  Since the babies had their 4 month check up with the pediatrician at 9:00 I wanted to make sure I got a shower in before everyone woke up.

That brings me to another thing that is strange to me since I became a parent.  Time.  Pre-parenthood, I thought any person who did anything before 9:00 am was ridiculous.  But, when you wake up at 4:30 in the morning most days, 9:00 seems pretty late. I also have no problem going to bed at 8:30.  No problem at all.  Most of the time it's just not possible, but I would do it much more if I could.

Anyway, the towels are washed now, sitting in a basket in my dining room, but washed.

Back at it...

Ugh, I just looked back and have seen that it's been way long since I've written.  October of last year.  Maybe I didn't think it was so long because I am constantly writing in my head.  Things happen and I'm like, yeah I should write a post about that....
Clearly it hasn't happened in many months.
I guess I sort of have to start over with this whole blog in a sense, because I'm a totally (well a lot anyway) different person since I first began writing.

Noah and me

I am now a mother of THREE children.  The twins arrived November 19.  They are now four months old, as of yesterday.  Unbelievable still that I have twins, that I have three children, that I have any children or a husband.

Noah, Evan, and Tobey

This is my real life.  I now stay home with the kids.  I love it a lot of the time.  I hate it sometimes too.  As you might imagine, three small children can really bring it in the crying department.  When the three of them are going at the same time, you better believe the stress level is high.  I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I feel like I missed so much in the beginning of Evan's life while he was in daycare.
My days are filled with diaper changes, and feeding the kids, and laundry, and cleaning (well sometimes).  My nights are often filled with work.  My business is doing quite well.  I reopened my shop after maternity leave on January 2, and it's kept me very busy.  I never thought I would love what I do, but I really love it.  I am often up until way later than I would like to be, sewing away, but I still love it.
I would love to make a conscious effort to write about these days that are going by so quickly.  We'll see how it goes I guess...
