My Camera Broke!

Yesterday I was somewhat deep in the throws of creating.  I have been working on tons of stuff to stock up my shop.  Also I was planning on going to visit my mother in law, whose birthday was on Friday so I was making her some Red Wine Cupcakes.  And I was making some Mexican Mac and Cheese to bring over for dinner.  Not to mention I got an extra day at home with Evan since it was President's Day and I didn't have to work.  So I was busy, and thinking all the while of all these great things I would be able to blog about.  And then it happened.


My camera broke.

The lens is stuck in the outward position, and I can technically turn it on and off but nothing happens, besides the beeping and the screen says "lens error".  Even if I plug it into the computer I can't see any pictures.  Needless to say it's really not great timing for this to happen.  I doubt that anyone ever says, "Well at least it's good timing for something super annoying to happen."  So now what?


I'm pretty sure I have to buy a new camera.  My son changes on a daily basis and additionally I'm trying to build a business that relies heavily on photographs.  I suppose I have the option of trying to get the camera repaired, but I would hate for the cost of repair to be the same as a new camera, and I'm sure I wouldn't know until I actually brought it somewhere.  So I think I have my work cut out for me, since I have no idea what I need in a camera, and I don't really have the time to get too involved in the process.  I suppose I will find a few options within my price range, and read the reviews.
