When we first rented our house someone was in the process of being evicted from it so it was kind of trashed. The landlords tried cleaning and fixing stuff. A for effort I guess. Our first floor bathroom looked ridiculous. All of the paint was peeling off of the walls. I wish I had a photo of it, but I don't. Anyway, my husband got in there and did it the right way, well as right as he was willing for our rental. Primer and the proper paint for a bathroom. It's better now, but I am not a fan of the color we chose. In my mind it was a beachy, fresh vibe we were going for. I feel like it's more on the cookie monster scale. Let me show you around.
The doorway from the kitchen
Linen closet is a must have for me. The bottom of this I believe is supposed to be for a hamper, but as you can see the hinge is broken. What's in there I just tossed in awhile ago and forgot about honestly.
Can you tell we have a kid? Toy central. Oh, and I have an overabundance of products myself, Yes I know.
Another must have. A curved hotel rod. If you don't have one.. You should.
Weirdest window frame ever. There is one window in our house stays up without one of those sticks you see here. That's right, ONE, and not this one obviously.
The vanity. Other than the nice amount of counter space, I hate just about everything here. But it get's the job done.
I am candle obsessed. I just bought this one today and it smells amazing. Only five bucks too!
All of my (showing) linens are white, not that brilliant of an idea for a downstairs bath mats. Everything always looks dirty, and I constantly have to wash the mats.
View to the yard from the window. I keep the curtain closed pretty much all the time, even though the neighbors are pretty far away.
Well, there you have it. Depending on what area of my house needs to be cleaned next, that's probably what I'll show you. Are you like me, and love peeking inside other peoples houses?
