A Great Shower

I really wanted to write today about how I had this amazingly therapeutic shower.  Mike and Evan were napping on the couch and I went into the bathroom and actually shut the door for a change.  I turned the water on and climbed in.  I imagined that the perfectly temperatured water would run on me for as long as I could stand it.  I wouldn't have Mike coming in to pee while I was in there.  I wouldn't hear Evan whining from the living room.  It was going to be awesome.

Here's the problem.  We live in a house that has an apartment attached to it.  Our landlords live in said apartment.  Anytime our neighbors turn on any sort of water it makes our shower water so scalding hot that you have to jump away from it.  Kind of like if someone flushed the toilet.  I'm guessing this only still happens in older houses, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.  So apparently it was run-the-water-time in their house while in the shower, because I was scalded three times.

Instead of talking about how awesome my shower was, I have added number reason number 372 why we need to buy our own house.
